November in the Bookshop
New books and upcoming events at your friendly neighbourhood bookshop.
Welcome to the season of fireworks and darker evenings. According to the Met Office, we've just endured the gloomiest October for over 60 years – but however dark and cold November gets, you can always find our cheerful window lights shining brightly on the High Street, and come on in for a cosy coffee and bookshelf browse!
New Arrivals in Store
Book Club
Our book club meets in the shop at 6.30pm on the last Wednesday of each month. We're a friendly bunch, and there's usually a good crowd. All are welcome, so feel free to turn up and enjoy chatting over coffee with other local book lovers.
This month's books is The Blackbirds of St Giles by Lila Cain – and the authors will be joining us to talk about it on 26th November!

A must for fans of cricket!
Join us in store on 11th November at 7.00pm. Tickets cost £6 for entry only, or £22 including a hardback copy of the book.
What our Staff are Reading
Working in a bookshop means we have a huge choice of books to sample. Right now, our staff are reading:

If there's a book you want that isn't in our stock, we can usually order it for you within a day or so? Ask us for details!
Tea and Coffee
While you're browsing our shelves, why not treat yourself to tasty hot drink at a very reasonable price? We have a variety of teas and a handmade Italian cappuccino machine, and we can prepare you any of the following to drink in or take away:
